TUD Dresden University of Technology is one of the largest Universities of Technology in Germany and is among the leading and most dynamic universities in the country. The Institute of Building Climatology focusses on building physics, near-surface geothermal energy and software development regarding these topics. It develops modern simulation software for heat and moisture transfer in porous media (DELPHIN) as well as building performance and district heating network simulation (SIM-VICUS). Moreover, the institute operates a research laboratory for hygrothermal material characterization.
