IDM is an Austrian heat pump manufacturer, based in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps. Since its foundation in 1977, we are pioneers in the efficient usage of natural resources and since 1997 we focus exclusively on the heating technology of the future – the heat pump. We develop, produce and market our efficient, regenerative heating energy systems using environmental energy from earth, water, air and sun on two production sites in Austria. Our tradition-rich family company is a technology leader for the intelligent energy management in the house. We are first movers in the sector of renewable energies, build heat pumps up to 1,500 kW heating power and are the biggest Austrian domestic heat pump manufacturer. Continuos research and development activities have allowed us to set market standards in quality and technology for the more than 45 years. Together with scientific and industrial research partner all over Europe, our research department is practising research in the fields of heat pump technology, application of heat pumps in new buildings and building stock, as well as energy management, demand side management, and sector coupling.
