About Front Runner #2 

Front Runner #2 is located in Velika Gorica, Croatia, and involves retrofitting six residential buildings connected to the local district heating network, which is currently powered by oil and gas-fired boilers. The project aims to enhance the thermal performance of these buildings by replacing the existing oil-fired boilers with district-heating-connected heat pumps. Additionally, the project will integrate hybrid photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) technology to generate both electricity and heat, improving energy efficiency and supporting decarbonisation efforts.
