About Front Runner #3 

Front Runner #3 is located in Mulhouse, South Alsace, France, and focuses on retrofitting the "KMØ" office complex—built in 1896 and situated in the heart of the former industrial district "La Fonderie," now part of Mulhouse's eco-district. KMØ aims to strengthen its initial site, scale up operations, and, if viable from an energy perspective, replicate the model across other industrial zones in France. Serving as a testbed for scalable and replicable solutions, KMØ is part of a broader movement addressing the revitalization of many underdeveloped former industrial areas like La Fonderie. These areas are exploring ways to preserve and promote their architectural heritage while injecting new social and economic vitality into their communities.
