ANIMA - Federation of Italian Associations of Mechanical and Engineering Industries, represents within Confindustria companies of the mechanical sector, which employs 225.000 employees, with 54,5 billion Euro production and 57.1% export share (estimates 2023). Established in 1914, ANIMA numbers 30 associations and 1,000 companies, highly qualified in their sectors. Macrosectors and technologies represented: energy production and oil & gas industry; logistics and handling; water and food; industry; building; personal security and safety; metallic products.
One of the main Associations of ANIMA is Assoclima that was founded in 1964 as CO.AER, and that represents the manufacturers of HVAC systems (heat pumps) and for the quality of the air in confined spaces as well as for process cooling industrial.
Assoclima promotes its technologies in all application sectors with the aim of offering well-being to people and reliability in industrial processes, supporting the process of decarbonisation of the economy through an ever-increasing use of electricity, the use of renewable energy sources and energy efficiency in end uses.Furthermore, the association studies the industrial and regulatory problems that affect companies, organizes statistical surveys of the various market segments and disseminates the association's positions in the context of discussions with institutions, the industrial chain, other associations and the public opinion.
